Ellie Holtrop

Ellie is a third-year medical student in the Carver Rural Iowa Scholars program at the University of Iowa. At Iowa, Ellie is involved in the Student Association for Rural Health, First Generation and Low-Income Students in Medicine, and the Family Medicine Interest Group. Ellie is passionate about providing health care to underserved and rural populations and plans to pursue a career in rural family medicine. Ellie enjoys horseback riding, reading, and watching football with her husband.
