Rural Health Transformation Program

The Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) is unprecedented federal investment in rural health to strengthen sustainable access to care and improve health outcomes. The RHTP directs $50 billion toward promoting rural health innovation, strategic partnerships, infrastructure development, and workforce investment. States will help rural communities meet these strategic goals related to prevention, access, workforce, technology, and care innovation.

NRHA is proud to share our new Rural Health Transformation Program State Application Summary Guide to provide a picture of how states are designing and budgeting their initial transformation strategies.

KFF Tracking State Rural Health Transformation Applications Map

KFF has created an interactive map showing the 40+ states that have released their RHTP project narrative, the main part of the application, which describes proposed initiatives such as using drones to deliver medication and bringing telehealth to libraries, day cares, and senior centers. The map comprises information about the state application documents they have submitted to the federal government.
