Apply for JRH editorial board positions
The Journal of Rural Health, a quarterly journal published by the National Rural Health Association, is currently seeking nominations for individuals interested in serving on the editorial board. Terms for open positions of the Editorial Board will begin Jan. 1, 2026.
All board members serve two-year terms. Their duties include setting editorial content, soliciting manuscripts, reviewing manuscripts and recruiting reviewers.

Potential candidates must have significant rural health experience and an established record of publications. Editorial board members must also be members of NRHA for the duration of their term.
Candidates for the editorial board will be evaluated on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, professional discipline/orientation; gender, racial, and ethnic diversity; geographic diversity; prior publication of articles; prior article review experience; demonstrated commitment to human services; and contributions that you may be able to make to the editorial board. Preference will be given to applicants who have previously served as reviewers and/or have submitted an abstract to the JRH.
